That's one part of it. The current Government of Spain also believes it's a ploy to cause their electoral defeat in the future and help the Spanish right- come to power, and that this has been orchestrated by the US and Israel via Morocco as a proxy.- Why did nearly 60,000 migrants suddenly storm the border into Spain? - https://www.rt.com/news/643727-spain-ceuta-crisis-explainer/
- Spanish commentators accuse Israel and US of involvement in Ceuta crisis - https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/spanish-minister-clashes-...
- The right’s exploitation of the Ceuta migrant ‘crisis’ almost guarantees that it will happen again - https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2026/aug/03/right-...
The current government of Spain did anger Netanyahu / Israel by publicly and harshly criticising the ongoing Gaza genocide, recalling their diplomats from Israel and by granting recognition to Palestine, while it pissed of Trump / US by not allowing the use of its bases for the current Israel-US-Iran war. Doesn't help that the current leaders of Spain and the US + Israel are ideologically on the opposing ends of the political spectrum.
