I remember one starry eyed HN member saying crude companies are not just that, they are energy companies improving their mix with renewables. Felt like a marketing campaign.

I feel like if it gets a malignant company out of the country, probably. Royal Dutch Shell does not really have a sterling record throughout its history...former biomedical engineer colleague who transitioned over from petroleum engineering mentioned one big reason was all random environmental abuses in Africa he'd see and that his RDS colleagues would dismiss casually every time they'd send him on a business trip over there...
