I have loved using Monica CRM for several years, but often times when clicking around the UI it just felt overly laborious compared to just speaking what I wanted to record. So over the last few months I've been putting together an alternative to Monica but with MCP usage first-class. It's open source under FSL-1.1-MIT, relatively lightweight (Node.js + SQLite) and makes managing your contacts very easy via natural language in your agents.

Happy to answer any questions!

Monica is open source and has a good API. Why would you not hook into that instead of building yet another tool?

You don't mention it, but was AI used to write this? And if so how does its security compare to Monica which is fairly well battle testes at this stage and somewhat reasonable to be putting other peoples personal information into.

Sadly, I doubt you'll get much sales, to be honest those kind of SaaS were maybe able to take off a few years back (although large majority failed) but today I highly doubt so especially with the vibe coded look, remember that most people interested in that kind of products (CRM...) do use agents nowadays. It is possible that with a "ballzy" proper branding (non-generic) you might be able to get customers.

General rule is do not open up a tech business that was supposedly working in 2020. Just my 2 cents, but good luck in your venture.
