The title is probably truncated because of the rules on length, but it is mising the key term ‘experience’ after work: Scientist who cleaned space toilet on work experience now leading Mars exploration teams

It’s a nice story of someone who has always been ineterested in space and undertook her school work experience (usually a week in a workplace, and often observing the work going on, making coffee, or indeed menial tasks like cleaning toilets) in the field.

Disrespectful and weird title.

"A visit as a kid sparked her curiosity until she achieved her dream"

I agree: clickbait. She unpacked the toilet; I doubt it was anything like what you or I would think of as "cleaning a toilet."

the fact that it as about a space toilet made it immediately clear to me that this was not your average cleaning job because space toilets are only used in space. so no clickbait at all, in my opinion, but rather a pun on the rags to riches meme.

"Cleaned space toilet", more like prepared it for the exhibition. Not something she did every day...
