Industrial scale stochastic plagiarism is the only thing keeping this economy going, my friends.

I used AI to improve your comment.

Industrial-scale stochastic plagiarism is the only factor sustaining this economy.

In other terms: The "recent" success of AI is mostly the commercialization of industrial scale stochastic plagiarism. Compare it to piracy, done by individuals for the benefit of themselves and their friends. If they ever thought about selling their stolen goods, what could they have done for economy!

I'm imagining the irony of it having been written by LLM

>While plagiarism is not a crime, for those caught at it, it is a disgrace. As Posner writes, “The stigma of plagiarism seems never to fade completely, not because it is an especially heinous offense but because it is embarrassingly second-rate; its practitioners are pathetic, almost ridiculous.”

1990 called. They want their sense of shame when accused for plagiarism back.

The book is clearly out of touch with 2020 culture, never mind 2026 with AI facilitating rampant plagiarism (and I'm also talking of the presenting AI output as "genuinely yours with no AI involved" variety)
