This will be a no-op in practice. Since pretty much anyone can guarantee 80% after 1000 cycles nowadays. It's just the current state of modern battery technology.

I heard that Apple are supposed to do this for any new phones sold in Europe. I think swappable batteries were good and if apple can pull it off like I know they could it could be a hit with consumers.
