A. It’s remarkable how much David Simon still carries the “voice” of his former copy editor, John McIntyre [0]B. The decline of the Baltimore Sun under ownership of the Tribune was a tragedy. Layoffs continued for another decade after this piece was written. However, it was bought in 2024 by David Smith of Sinclair Broadcasting, and the decline since then has been a comedy.
