There’s a ton of Savior syndrome in the top AI labs where they believe the world would end unless they were there.I really hope the best AIs that actually solve critical problems come from companies who are open source scrutiny friendly.
Altman, Hassabis, Musk, Dario, Picchai, or the leaders. A concentrated AI power in any of their hands is absolutely corrupting.
AI only works if the know how is diffused and competing on even playing fields.
Good to know how crappy Grok is and GPT falling behind Anthropic. Meta almost given up on Llama.
So more money isn’t yielding better models. That’s a good sign.
