Not bragging..but I came up with this idea when I was 12 or 13...lol. No, I didn't understand even basic quantum mechanics or even double slit experiment at the time. I just thought really hard about where everything came from, what is the purpose of our existence etc...

Maybe all humans have an intrinsic sense of true nature of reality, that is clouded by our perception of the reality. May be enlightenment is about sensing it across our illusion that we perceive as reality..It is even harder for physicists have another layer to unlearn because of their training that is based on this illusion.

Max Tegmark is truly remarkable in that sense.

I really like this model of the universe and it's quite a freeing thing to believe in. I already did not believe in free will and thought that things were mostly deterministic. One doesn't need to go mad or descend into apathy while believing that the future is set in stone. We don't know the future, and even if you did know what is going to happen you still haven't experienced that happening.

I also like the idea that I'm like a very large deck of cards, each card being the result of the previous card plus the smallest moment of time. Each card has the feeling of being now, but that are all equally valid and present.

Fun read. Haha I also love the idea of being a mathematical braid. Arrival is a great film, but my favorite fictional take on this kind of thinking is still Slaughterhouse-Five.

Listen: Billy Pilgrim has come unstuck in time.
