I quite enjoy the forcing function of scarce supply. They can choose to debloat their software, get rid of the ads and spyware, and focus on running closer to the metal. Or they can fail. Either is fine with me!by 1970-01-01

I don't think there is a single "they" here such as consumer electronics manufacturers. All the bloated web apps, all the native apps etc... Are responsible for this too. "Memory is cheap" has been the mantra for ages now.It's just that the first people who would feel the heat because of all this is consumer electronics manufacturers.
