Except that they're using "penguins" for "meters", since the emperor penguin can be about 1 meter long.

And it's the Jerusalem Post, so it's a bit unfair to say "Americans". (Maybe they're trying to write for an American audience...)

There is a big difference between an Emperor penguin and a Galapagos penguin. They should of used a different measure.
